  • "I've been selling the Big Issue for 12 years and I am looking forward to getting through this winter. I studied Marine Radio and Radar at college but always suffered from Cluster Headaches. I have been suffering since I was 9 years old but did not get diagnosed until very late.

I noticed that when I was outside, the headaches went away; so I took to the streets.

I've always very much been a loner.

I am content with my own company and an easy life is not a life.

I sell the Big Issue because I can earn for what I need which is something to eat and shelter. This makes me happy.

    I am happy.

A man came along the bridge the other day. He said he was thinking of committing suicide. I talked with him. I told him life is not a competition. There is too much focus on work and money. We quite often find that we have two personalities, the conscious which is driven by society and our subconscious, what we really want to do. Quite often the two come into conflict.

    Find who you are."
