  • We were 380 degrees from home.
    Next to mountains that fed streams with glacial water.
    We hiked through the woods looking for Lago Azul but we were too hot, too tired and didn't make it there.
    On the way back, we wandered into a clearing filled with enormous woodpeckers that were the size of raccoons.
    There were hundreds of birds in the dead trees around us.
    When we got back to our room in a lodge meant for families (not couples) I decided to ask you to marry me.
