  • Whilst teaching at the Foundry Photojournalism Workshop in Buenos Aires in July 2011, I photographed at various milongas (tango halls, for lack of better description), and documented some of this seductive dance and music. I chose A Media Luz to accompany The Seduction of Tango, not only because it's one of the most classical and beautiful tango refrains, but also because of my photographs which were made in the penumbra of the milongas. The narration is by Paula Acunzo, an Argentine photographer and tango dancer.

"This evening, like all evenings, I'm getting ready to meet you.
I wish the clock didn't remind me to count every minute, second…until I see you.
When the time comes, I know you'll be there. You never fail me."

    As narrated by Paula Acunzo.
