  • Recently I was hired as a videographer on a Caribbean cruise and I was allowed to bring my wife Sarah Christine Bolton and my daughter Mae. My daily itinerary was pretty set and when we landed at Freeport in the Grand Bahamas I had just a couple of hours to spend with them alone. Normally I am the kind of guy who strays far from the beaten path and with an interview coming I had little time to explore. As we made it past the Straw Market designed to sell knick-knacks to tourists we were thinking of catching a cabbie to take us away from there to experience some locals only eats.
However as we made our way into the the lobby of a large luxury hotel to use the ATM we could see on the other side was a gorgeous private beach for guests only.
The one wild card we had was our amazing princess of a daughter. She holds within her smile the ability to open any door. The doorman simply returned her beauty queen wave and we spent the next couple hours building sand castles as if the beach were ours.
