  • I never realized just how much of a lifestyle writing is until I decided to take a creative writing class at my local community college.

It seemed like all the writers in this class already had a bond. A bond only another writer would understand. That bond being that you can look at another writer and give a shake of the head and they'll totally get it.

That mutual "totally get it" feeling was when I knew that I fit in quite nicely into this new class of diverse writers. It's amazing to hear peoples' stories and just how different their styles are.

It's a big thing sharing stories with others. I feel like I am revealing a bit of who I am through my words, paragraphs, and phrases. It's like opening up a bit about yourself and allowing people to talk about it.

Our conversations in class varied from how to kill a vampire to how a person could die on earth but continue living on another planet.

Sitting there in that medicinal smelling classroom (our writing class is in the nursing building) and actually being aware of what the conversations transpired to--made me realize just how much I love it.

Writing is a way that I express myself, in even better ways than I ever will with talking.
