  • Stelios Papageorgiou, 55, recalls how he started his cooking career, after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974 forced his family to flee south and take refuge in an abandoned hotel in the Cypriot resort town of Ayia Napa. He and his wife Dora are now the owners of Zenon Taverna in Astoria, Queens.
