  • East of Cuba, where the Atlantic kisses the Caribbean Sea
  • lies a tranquil island a bit off the beaten track
  • with its welcoming harbor
  • and many inns with assorted amenities
  • like breakfast decks overlooking the harbor.
  • In the national park, forest trails meander through a dense forest past ruined plantations
  • where ghosts of slaves are said to walk.
  • It's a place where there's not much one has to do except study the sunset
  • and stare at the sea from a guest house
  • and of course frolic in it.
  • It was all quite a treat -
  • but leaving it behind was no big deal.
