  • Sawyer, as I sat on my dining room floor I had a three quarter profile view of you. I saw the back of your head & part of your cheek. For the first few seconds I was confused, but soon realized that the "vibration" of your head & whiskers was you happily purring. I specifically remember feeling my heart fill with love & happiness. I had been worried you wouldn't be happy living with me after fending for yourself for so many years. As I look back... I remember that morning with bitter sweetness. I didn't know it but those were my last few hours with you... you passed away that afternoon. I was heartbroken to lose you.

Thank you for trusting me & letting me in your life. I love you and will always miss you.
