  • Iltezam Morrar, Medical Student and Community Organizer, Budrus

At the age of 15, Iltezam brought women into the nonviolent movement in her village of Budrus. She was the first villager to elude the Israeli border police officers and stop a bulldozer by sitting in front of it. Iltezam's fearlessness galvanized her entire community and helped turn around this unarmed movement to protect Budrus' lands and olive orchards from destruction. Watch Iltezam in action in Just Vision's film, Budrus.
