  • Sometimes when I'm talking to people I forget and I mention the egg hunt.

    The grown-ups hide eggs, I say, the candy kind. The kids have a race to find the most.

    They ask how many kids will be there, and I'll tell them it's just the three of us, my brothers and me, plus a few friends every year. They're confused.

    But you're thirty-three
    you're a grown-up.

    And then I explain that on Easter, I'm not. Not as long as there's someone around to hide eggs.
