  • He went moose hunting and he was very proud when he caught a big moose. They used to go blueberry picking and potato picking. And this is why they went down there, to earn some money, then come back home. They'd do that every season until fall time comes and then they'd come back home here.

    He was a carpenter for a very, very long time. He made many houses here. He made the one that's two doors down here, and he made one...He made all kinds of houses, and he was a foreman before he decided that because of his health I think he ended up stop working.

    He went out, went to parties. He went to dances. He liked the Newfoundland dancing, whatever function, the Newfie Fever functions and he always went all the time, either as the sober driver or just tagging along.
