  • Not many people know how to do it, not many. In my group, there were eight of us and I'm the last survivor. Everyone that was in my group, they all died.

I been going to Eskasoni, Whycogamah, Shubie, Pictou Landing. I teach down here. I taught three years ago teaching the women how to do this.

On the TransCanada Highway, that's where I get my porcupine. All the road kills I can find, that's where I get my porcupine. When I get the porcupine I grab its paw and then I put my hand underneath its belly. There's no quills on its belly and that's how I put him in the car.

Last five years I been teaching, because I'm not getting any younger. And I wanted people to know how to do this.
