  • We have this little group where we get together maybe once a month, or sometimes twice a month, and we discuss the diabetes. And of course we're trying to come up with a cookbook. I think because we changed over from the foods that we normally ate, to the foods that were available to other people, it was hard on our system, so it made us sick, really.

If you go into a store and you're looking at three bags of milk, that's like almost nine dollars. And if you're looking at pop, you'll see four for $5, or you know, stuff like that. And juice is like 99 cents for a big bottle of juice, and anything that's sweet and sugary you can buy for way cheaper. It's hard, hard when you go to a store and you can't buy the things that you should be buying for your children.
