  • Today I felt like superhero, at work:

One of the kids fell and hit his forehead on the edge of a bench, and he got a pretty nasty cut.
For some reason, even though I had a pretty scared, hysterically screaming child in front of me I stayed completely calm. Like a medical superhero I got the compress, cleaning solution, and medi-strips and started cleaning the wound.
I talked to him, and kept on explaining what I was doing, and he started to calm down.

Two medi-strips was all it took.

I could see the cut was pretty deep, and asked for a second opinion from one of my bosses. We called the parents, and they came to pick him up shortly after.

Later that day I met up with the father, and he said the kid didn't need any stitches, that it was such a clean cut that they decided just to clue it. And just as he said that, in comes the boy with a massive grin on his face.

"Hi!" I uttered excitedly. "Dude, high five, no stitches!"

He smiled like the sun, laughed, and gave me an awesome High Five.

Highlight of my day, for sure
