be careful where you walk. wandering around the old lemp brewery. looks a bit like the wonka factory in the original gene wilder production. just across the highway from the king of beers. be careful where you walk. there is broken glass. and overgrown grass. and brick. and this. this rusted out manhole cover with the green cross. crossbones that is. with a skull. or at least when i pulled it out in photoshop it looked A LOT like a skull. i've heard of skull plates. but never seen anything like this.

if there were pirates on land. in the united states. i think they'd live in st. louis. maybe in east st. louis. that's where miles davis was from. i could see miles as a pirate. or pirates listening to miles. we rape and rob and bleed you... so what (answers miles). they long to sail the ocean blue (but settle for listening to "kind of blue" the classic miles davis album). so the pirates sail away in the nice casinos. and settle for the wiser of beers. (pirates wouldn't drink micro-brews. arrrhhh!) they mark the secret entrances into their subterranean lair with green, spray painted skull and cross bones. [this particular portal was discovered across the river in the benton park neighborhood of old st. louie.]
