  • Tell me why my heart feels this way,
Tell me why I listen to what you say.
I would get so mad but still I'd hold you tight,
With the fear I'd lose you tonight.
I need you here to stand by my side,
Because when you left I nearly died.
    I've tried and tried,
To get you of my mind.
I gave you all my trust,
And you burned it to dust.
We used to be so tight,
    And never used to fight.
It was love at first sight,
But now I fear it's a toxic waste site.
    I would give anything,
    To get our first feeling.
    Of when our hearts connected,
    Our love was perfected.
Why was I the only one affected,
    By our love being neglected.
I want to go back in time,
    And stop the crime.
    That tore our hearts apart,
    To have a fresh start.
    And repair or broken hearts,
And put our love beyond the charts.

We met on online in a chat, and had been talking, texting and skyping every day. I knew it was true love since the first message. We had been talking for a while and decided we were ready to finally meet in person. It was the beginning of the year. We thought meeting in a public place was smart, due to both of us have seen movies about online predators and just wanted to be safe. So we picked HEB a place both of us were familiar with. Since the meet, we hit it off. Got real close. Became lovers and best friends. Then somehow fell apart. I will never love anyone the way I love him. He is my other half, that makes me whole. Without him i'm lost and confused on many things. This poem I wrote gives an incite to how I felt, and feel now. And how I wish I could fix what went wrong in our relationship.
