  • Vincent Van Gogh lived from 1853-1890. He taught himself to paint and produced over 2,000 works of art. His style of art was called Postimpressionist; in that style artists typically used bold colors and depicted movement.

    Vincent was born in Holland, but he lived in France and also England. He became a painter after he did other things. Sometimes he would paint day and night, for hours and hours. He did his best artwork in his last ten years.

    Accompanying this story is a picture I did inspired by him titled, "Midnight in a City."
