  • In art class I learned that Georgia O'Keeffe (who was from Wisconsin but lived much of her life in New Mexico) was born in 1887.

    A lot of her art was done during World Wars I and II. She tended to paint nature pictures that went off the edge of the canvas. In 1985 President Reagan presented her with a major art award.

    Accompanying this story is the painting I did in art class when we were studying Georgia O'Keeffe.
