  • Jeff was blind, and he met up with a veteran buddy of his Tim, who was deaf. Although, they haven't seen each other since the war. Tim brought his other friend Sam the Mute, and they were all impaired from war.

I tell you this story to give grief of war... every tragedy is due to a small war within or without....

So all three gathered around a coffee table at a small cafe in Boston...

Jeff and Sam go to know each other as they communicated with Tim. Jeff would talk, Sam would listen and use sign language to tell his friend Tim what Jeff was saying. Sam would sign to Tim whenever he wanted to say something, and Tim would say as best he could to verbalize the words being signed to him to Jeff. Tim would sign and talk as well to talk to both of them...

And the other people in the cafe were laughing at them....

    All three veterans were offended...

But Jeff told Tim and Sam to let it go...

Tim disagreed and wanted to tell them to shut up...

    Sam just kept Tim calm...

But all three agreed that war shouldn't be fought to be disrespected as the other people like those in the cafe got freedom on their behalf.... to protect their freedom in this country...

And a tear came from Jeff as Tim saw this...

Tim hugged Jeff and Sam joined in...

Jeff spoke, "We gave our sight, ears, and tongue to give you all freedom!! How is it that we are able to see better, listen better, and speak better to our hearts as we just want peace in this world... it is because of you people that we fight and that you people are the cause of the fight!! Why should we risk our precious lives to give you something we have lost?? But no, we have gained... we have gained so much more... and that is respect for you people and ourselves...."

Other people just watched as they all looked down with shame...

Noble hearts tend to shine as the grief of war gives tears to the heart...

But without the heart there wouldn't be courage, respect, or love....

And to those who are veterans I give you all three...

And that is how the blind man saw, deaf man heard, and the mute spoke... out of their hearts...

See no evil? Hear no evil? Speak no evil?? How about DO no evil!!!

(There are four monkeys here in this story... the other people are one of them...)

    Peace, everyone.... Andy
