  • Yesterday was my grandson's seventh birthday.
    Rowan can:
    stand on head
    supported by both hands
    then stand on his head
    without support
    spin round on head
    cartwheels, sit ups,
    wheel his bike without
    holding on whizzing
    down hills.

    He can read almost
    as well as his brothers;
a concern he had all year.
    He came top in 'Mathletics'.

    He knows:
    he is loved
he has six cousins to play with
    his opinion is respected
he can choose what he eats
  • He can now ride on the school bus
knowing his older brother will be with him
    make a sandwich
    cut vegetables and fruit,
and of course play computer games.
  • He has experienced a year of:
    tummy aches
    bad dreams

    fights with brothers
having to keep still in school

He has so much more to learn,
always keen to catch up with his brothers,
as the youngest having to fight his own corner.

A loving base for life, but he still has so much more to learn
