  • I am having the most difficult of times,
knowing it is coming to an end.
Each week I think this is it.
    But you continue to be
the brightest and most colorful of friends,
Sharing my home with me since December.
Each evening, your silent presence warmly lights up my living room
as it does my soul .
And I love how your out-stretched arms greet me each morning.
    As our days dwindle,
I know it is time to let you go my friend,
    though your subtle fragrance lingers,
the needles will fall, (that they still hold tight has been a gift)
    I will miss you,
    O. Tannen Baum
