  • The first day I listened to beirut I could not believe that such thing could exist. It was like taking a trip to the past through the memories of someone else, with all his emotional baggage, with the additional fact that it all felt like yours.

And that is the magic of music, the power that it has to make you feel things, rediscover you have a heart and you're capable of tasting all those things.

I love the effect that Zach Condon's voice produces in me. It is like a rush of adrenaline, nostalgia and love. Physically describable, emotionally... I doubt that. Something amazing I've discovered while listening to all his records and songs is that you're capable of travelling the world without moving from your place, you just have to close your eyes and let yourself daydream.

I love the music that makes me soar, drown and be reborn again. That's what happens whenever I hear these guys. And I love to listen to them while I travel because they are the perfect soundtrack for anything that's worth being memorable.
