  • My friend Hope used to be a judge in New York. Now she is retired and spends every year three winter - months here in San Cristobal. She comes to meditate on Saturdays, we watch movies together and often we have coffee and lunches.

Today, Saturday, our weekly meditation - day, she came and she was so excited:

"Yesterday," she told me in her broken Spanish," I sat at the zócalo ( the main square) and watched the life around me, Kiki. Suddenly two women approached me, they were excited and in an English with a strong accent asked me: "Are you Kiki? We are looking for Kiki?"

I told them that I was not Kiki, but Kiki´s friend and they could come with me to meet Kiki this Saturday morning for meditation. They could not, they were from Greece and had been to the gallery and loved your painting and wanted to meet you, but they had to return to Greece this morning."

Then Hope sat and chatted happily with the two Greek ladies for the afternnon. They made her day.

When she told me about her unexpected encounter this morning, that made my day!
