  • This is one of 100's of images at a family wedding in November, 2008.
    She is 89 and I'm 41.

In this moment, Both of Us, with Our eyes closed, dancing without regard.
encapsulated my life with and by:
    My Granny.
    Mi Abue.

She was there when I arrived in the world . Through the years, thought me to listen to my Soul.
To follow my dreams. To create my own world. The one I wanted... the one, I now have.

This moment , also is the last time we danced ... Since then, I count the last time we did so many things.
    I keep counting.

Including the last time she remembered who I am.

    Today. She is 94 and I'm 46.

I see this image and fondly remember everything she's forgotten.
    At the same time....

I sit and silently fester... wanting to shout:

    "I F_KN Hate YOU.... Alzheimer's!"
