  • Randy wasn’t fully awake when she left home this morning.

    She was listening to music, earbuds in both ears, dashing to catch the 33, and on a collision course with a fire truck speeding by, lights and sirens on.

    It was David who pulled her back, just in time.

    She says he saved her life.

    I guess you could say it was the music that brought them together.

    And as it turns out, they’re both catching the 33, so on the ride they play each other songs. His choice: Daddy Yankee. Hers: Brother Ali.

    Sometimes when you’re disconnected, it’s nice to have someone pull you back.
