  • After a very hectic 2013 everything seems to falling very nicely into place. We made the big decision to move away from Iceland for two years while I get my MFA degree here. Sweden is great and my studies are very demanding and there is also the whole issue of relocating the whole family, schools for the kids, learning a new language and my girlfriend is settling into a new job.

It's funny how things seem to fall into place when you are very busy, it really hit me that we had moved about a month ago. I was traveling in the tram with my kids and my sons teacher came into the tram and sat behind us. My son started speaking swedish to her flawlessly like it was the most natural thing in the world, amazing how kids pick up these things. I can get by but the english speaking environment of my studies is hindering my progress, feels like and being left behind.

We take a lot of walks here and it takes some time getting used to all the trees here.

In Iceland we have a joke that if you get lost in an icelandic forrest, all you have to do is stand up.
