  • "I Love Lucy" is such a TV comedy classic.

Anytime when I just want to chill and not think too hard, Lucy and Ricky's wacky antics make me laugh my heart out.

They were partners on their show, in their business and in their personal life. Two very hot, and very smart people. Their relationship was fiery, explosive, and complex, and very real, far beyond their on-screen vanilla fantasy image.

Their image as a couple was shaped by their time: late 50's slapstick, goof-ball coupledom wrapped in flannel pajamas, sleeping in separate beds.

It bleached and neutered down his sensual macho of a hot-blooded Latin lover romancing his firecracker redhead bride. It made them palatable to and a reflection of the Wonder-Bread-and-TV-Dinner American mainstream, segregated audiences of the time.

It was safe and familiar, even with his "cute" Cuban accent to spice up their picture-perfect middle class American Valentine for corporate sponsors.

Yes, on the surface it was a more innocent world all around, but still...

I always wanted to tweak and sauce their image up a bit ... just because I can.

So here it is, another take on Lucy and Ricky and their classic puckered smooch.
