  • Need some creative cleansing here from the commercial overload of Valentine love :)?

So who's better than the unquestionable master of fear with a habit of often putting loving couples in mortal danger?

    Alfred Hitchcock.

I LOVE his movies. He exploded paralyzing terror into our heads without splashing a drop of blood and gore onto the screen.

He was diabolically effective in instilling fear of doing the most mundane stuff, like taking solo showers (remember "Psycho"??), long after his end credits rolled by.

He knew how to scare us sooo good with his amazing sense of timing.

And he had a wicked sense of humor to give us a rollercoaster ride to hell and back!

    Hence my Hitchcock Peek-a-Boo.

One of my death mask series, I started painting Alfred with both eyes closed. Somewhere midway through his left cheek he jerked my chalk up in a wild stroke that pushed his dusty eyelid open. I swear he made me do it!

One would expect no less from the Grand Master of Suspense.

    Have a Thrilling Valentine, everyone!
