  • Like many Athenians, I went out a bit late this morning, and had a walk through the center before going to work.

This felt like a leaking artery, hanging from the sky.

It is physical; the city is bleeding, we feel hurt.

A bit further, on Panepistimio street, life goes on almost as usual. There's something different in the air.
When I try to cross what is one of the main arterial streets of Athens, I understand: The traffic lights are down. Everywhere.
It's a huge mess. After few minutes, I dive in the traffic, and cross the five lanes... We all do.
