  • It was my first time skinning.

I love to ski. It was supposed to be straight forward, but this day the skins didn't quite get a grip.

Too steep to go straight up. Too icy for traversing.

We passed a crevasse and our guide put us in ropes and switched to crampons. Only for fifteen meters. Then all was good.

When life goes sideways and gets a little slippery, a guide with crampons and some rope can come in pretty handy. Even if only for fifteen meters.
