  • And the Beat Goes On

Started snowing again here in Peoria, and the prediction is calling for between 3-5”. So far about 1/2” has fallen and while it's beautiful, it's also brought slightly warmer temperatures. I was out clearing the walk and the rear drive in sweats and a flannel shirt. I'm sure by now Olivia thinks I am totally mad.

Just secured my spotter for tomorrow at 2 pm, and I am anxiously awaiting tomorrow's workout. It's been two days since I've had the weights in my hands and I am ready. Guess the endorphins are becoming an addiction, but they're one I can live with....literally.

I spent a good portion of today wrapping presents and am pleased to announce I'm 100% done with the wrapping paper and about 75% done with the ribbons and bows. Tomorrow after the workout I will complete the presents and be able to concentrate on the remaining items for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

With all the baking and other things going on, the workout tonight waited until 7 pm again, but was accomplished with an extra 10 reps on the ab raises, bringing the total ab repetitions to 250. I think I'll keep that number and get used to it in preparation for the “Rip” week in January.

I'm planning the “Rip” from the 13th to the 17th, a 5 day period of 1400 calories per day with a modified workout schedule that will be a bit tasking. While all the weights will be dropped to 80% of what I am doing now, I'll be doing a full cycle weight routine twice a day, with two sets of Gazelle as well. Ab routines will also double up, and they will be the starters for each session. Ought to be interesting, to say the least.

You know, this journey has been a fun one, and the nice thing is, it's only just begun.

I hope you and yours had a blessed and glorious day.

    Fred
