  • The birds fly weaving beauty
    All around these mountains
    Once their freedom knew me
And held my dreams upon their wings of gold

    The sun comes silently
And the church bell wakes the sparrow
He drinks the pure white rain
That softly falls as morning calls my name

    Calling me to come returning
To the mountain of the moon
On the wings that sing their freedom's mirth
With every passing of the winter's sun

    I know that soon
Peace will finally blossom on this earth
It's been a long long time
Oh such a long long time

  • I love this song. It fits the day so perfectly. While I’m not holding my breath for the Peace Blossoming on This Earth part, I find it just a little bit easier to visualize on a day such as this, making this one beautiful-assed day. Beyond that, I am speechless today, to just enjoy the photos of a lovely snowday in my little piece of heaven on earth I call home, and I wish all of my friends, both on Cowbird and on the earth, the deepest and richest peace imaginable.

    Imagine it.

    I do.
  • By the time I’ve posted this story, with these peaceful snow shots, a lot of this snow will have melted…but the sense of peace it brought to my heart and soul will linger on.
