  • The reason why I teach is not out of some sort of misguided sense that I can impart my knowledge on another. I do not try to believe I am near clever enough for that. What I do believe is that I teach for the sake of learning, as I always manage to learn something whenever I do so. Granted the job is incredibly stressful and though I rarely admit it I feel unappreciated for what I do. My reward is the chance to expand my own knowledge. For the most part this satisfies me, but every once and a while I feel like I just need to hear a thank you. Still I have no right to complain, and overall I do enjoy what I do.
