  • I have two bulldogs.

Diamond, the bigger one, is all white. She thinks she's a teacup poodle and does not understand there is an upper limit to the concept of lap dog.

Diego, the smaller one, is part angel, part hellion. Mostly angel. Still, his nickname is Chuck -- as in that evil little doll, Chucky.

A long time ago, I thought I was supposed to marry Harrison Ford. Then I changed my mind and shifted my focus to Richard Dreyfus. I figured he was within my reach.

It didn't work out with Dreyfus. I think it's only 'cause we never met.

I got engaged once. Disaster. The guy wanted a mommy and I think he preferred men.

These days, I believe in romance and less in permanence. In exploring rather than settling. Up rather than down. Now rather than forever. Kindness and generosity as opposed to sarcasm and charisma.

The principle loves in my life are my two bulldogs. They make me laugh. They don't care if I'm a vegan or if I want to go to bed at nine o'clock at night. And I swear they love foreign films.

    It's love on four legs.
