Jamal has been in the transportation business for a long time.
He was in the Merchant Marine and spent years traveling the world--to Dubai, Egypt, the Philippines, all over, he says. He also worked for an oil company and was a deck hand for the Blue & Gold Fleet, which ferries passengers all over the Bay. It was his favorite job.
But now that he works for MUNI, as he has for the last five years, he has no life, he says. Or rather, he quickly corrects himself, he spends way too much time driving the same streets.
He loves his city, he says, but he'd like to see the world.
