  • When I paint I get lost in creation. What I start off with and what I end up with are often in the same tone though not the exact picture. Is it because I'm not clear or is it because I can't visualise exactly where I want to end up. Like life, painting is a journey. How the colours blend in with each other, the line and shape of things that appear and disappear on the canvas, they all eventually come together to form the Painting.

Sometimes, very often, mistakes can be painted over or recreated into a new form altogether. Sometimes the painting just can't be saved, or the inspiration is lost. Even then I have often gone back, and seen other artists go back to the canvas and recreate the old into something entirely new. It helps to be frugal and not waste canvases. We can always paint over them and start something new.
