  • With the London Screenwriters' Festival over, the table strewn with the debris of my weekend and the power and wi-fi finally back on after the vicious storm that had hit. The sun had emerged again and it was time to get cracking on finishing the blog writing and photo uploads that had been interrupted.

I felt like I'd been hit by two storms, the one that had raged outside whistling round the house violently bending the trees outside with it's power and strength and the one that had, during the weekend touched the creative core of me and fed it into a frenzy with a desire to learn more and create more and be more. But first, I needed a snack.

As danishes go, it was the largest one in the bakery and perhaps a bit excessive by anyone's standards but it did look terribly satisfying, with it's munchy nuts scattered across the glaze. After all, it had been a long and busy few days and I still had work to do for which the fires had to be fueled.

Besides, I thought. I earned it!
