  • Whenever I feel sad and tired, I like to think about this particular night in Firenze. This marvelous city is very special to me. Firenze is like a living masterpiece, an open-air museum, full of palaces, churches and wonderful gardens. On every street corner one can find a remaining of its glorious past. Every building is a work of art. Lippi, Michelangelo, Botticelli, Leonardo Da Vinci, they all lived here once, in this stunning city. I like to wander through the streets and imagine Da Vinci used to walk in the same streets, that Botticelli’s eyes have admired Boboni Garden’ olive trees like I my eyes do now.

That night in Firenze was our own masterpiece. We ate the most delicious pasta in town and various gourmet foods from Tuscany. We enjoyed the flavors of a tasteful glass of Chianti. Not just one. And then we spent a few hours starring at the Duomo, exploring with our eyes every single detail of this incredible monument. We felt so lucky to be there and to be the witnesses of such a Beauty. There was a smell of coffee and roasted nuts in the air.

And even if there were a lot of people around us, it was like we were the only couple in the world. The perfect night, I said.
