  • What a strange morning it has been.

First real frost today. Everything was white in the morning. My cat wanted to go outside so I opened the window. He sniffed the air and turned around, jumped onto a bed and decided to take another nap. Wise move!

I sat at my computer to check the mail and a titmouse came to my window, knocked a couple of times and then flew away.

Some say when a titmouse does that the cold weather is near and winter is coming. It is like the bird is reminding us to put out food for them.

But the sun is shining and there is no clouds in the sky. It will be a wonderful day.

(Photos: the back yard; a titmouse - not the one who came knocking at my window: our dining table for birds, a little black humour I suppose :) )
