  • This picture was taken in 1989 when I was 4 years old. You can't see the front of my romper, but I remember exactly what it looked like because it was my favorite outfit in the world. It had a faded picture of my favorite Carebear- TenderHeart- and it was meant to be pajamas, but I wore it as everyday clothing- anytime it was clean- which was quite often with my amazing Mom! I wore it everywhere that Summer- and the summer after that (it looked pretty ridiculous at this point)- until my torso grew so long that it was too painful. I'm sure my mom was delighted when Fall would come and she could get me to wear something else. Out of all the brand new clothes in my drawers, I always chose this hand-me-down that went through my next door neighbor and her younger sister before it got to me.
