  • No form of torture may possess a hand as cold and cruel as Death's.
Men from abroad have naturally spun tales of the underworld,
some have even favoured darkness over light.
But I can tell you this: not everybody has been given
    a million chances to live.

I was destined to perish at a young age,
but God has spared me the boredom of that.
Ignorate beings worry about insignificant problems,
yet we are just racing against Death.

It has not been regarded as deadly as cancer,
and that alone has confined the world of today to let it gather dust.
But that won't halt its silent torture, I must warn you,
for I can tell you this: not everybody has been given
    a million chances to live.

Yet despite the countless obstacles that will help Death prevail,
I have not been drained of morale.
    I will win.
I will carry the torch of Happiness and Life until my turn is over.
And may others latch onto the vision of a free world,
and stand upon Death itself with a conquering hand.

As I can tell you this: I have been given
    a million chances to live,
and Life becomes more precious after every one.
