  • I wonder where he is sometimes
the one who had no patience,
could not forgive or merely let it go.

    Perhaps he is still here,
his mem'ries are, days of fear
    and days of cold uncertainty,

days of war, days of service,
    days at sea, remote, unknown
    horizons, crystal clear.

    I wonder if he understood
    the reasons for the journey
    undertaken, the need to learn

    so many things. And now
that he is gone but not forgotten,
I hope he has found peace

in knowing he is with me,
and He is always with me.
