  • Q: So, what you brought you here?

    A: I was lost.

Q: So, you're looking for directions?

    A: No, not really.

    Q: Then I'm confused!

    A: Wonderful! Now, I don't feel alone!

Q: Are you some kind of a wise guy?

    A: Hardly - if I was so wise, I wouldn't be here, would I?

Q: How can I help you?

A: Just be here. I'm not looking for direction or answers or even wise counsel. Just someone to listen while I sort through it all.

Q: I see. You sound like you're wiser than you know.

A: Not really. It's just that I've seen this movie before, and have learned what works for me, and what doesn't. This is what usually works.

Q: How long have you been lost?

A: That's an excellent question. I honestly have no idea. However, I just realized that I was a few days ago.

    Q: Go on - I'm listening...

A: Thank you! You get it. Anyway, I was in the middle of this thing, and everyone thought I was "on it", and after awhile, I started to believe them.

Q: O. K. Well, what if they were right, and you were "on it". What's wrong with that?

A: Nothing, except I began to feel like I was missing something. I don't know. I stopped feeling genuine. Authentic. I realized, all in a flash of an insight, when I was really tired, that I was carrying a burden that might not have been mine to carry. That might not make sense to you, but it does to me.

    Q: Fair enough - but I think I follow...

A: And, I thought it best to step away from the "thing" I was in the middle of, and take an honest look at what I was doing. That's as far as I've gotten out of the whole confusion bit.

Q: Was it hard to step away from this thing?

A: Yes, and No. Yes it was hard, because I'd really come to love the thing, and it had pretty much become my whole life. Everything revolved around it.

Q: What was wrong with that, if you really loved it?

A: The fact that everything revolved around it. I love many things in life, and another little kernel of wisdom I've managed to pick up in my travels is, a fulfilling life requires a balance. At least, it does for me.

Q: Sounds about right. So, what's your plan?

A: Just keep following my spirit, wherever it leads me. It seems to know what's right for me long before I do. I've just learned to listen to it when it speaks.

Q: Is it like that still small voice within that I've heard about?

A: I think my spirit is more into X-Games. For me, it'susually a 2 by 4 upside the head.

    Q: Ouch!

A: It's only because my spirit knows me, and knows I can be a bit dense. Thanks for being here.

    Q: I'll be here.
