  • Now, dear Black, listen to the word and wisdom I teach you to observe, that you may live and dwell within the calling your ancestors anoint you.

    god revealed himself
    with all the suddenness
    of a flash of lightning,
    that he pervaded the universe
    and that there was no place
    where he was not.

    all men created equal in his sight:
    the bond, the free, the black, the white.
    he made them all, them freedom gave;
    he made the man, man made the slave.
    if man deny us our american name,
    they cannot steal up the scriptures from us
    and deny our name in heaven.

    for we do not want a nation;
    we are a nation.
    unconscious captives 'til we realize this:

    the ever-widening circle of hope of our ancestors;
    the pure, peaceable, and impartial Love of Jesus.

    Now, search all of history, to the moment of God's covenant with Israel, from before then, and until now. Ask all from the edge of earth to the center of sound if there has ever been anything quite like this before. Has any nation ever witnessed The Spirit speaking from the mouthes of their prophets as you did? Has any nation displaced in the midst of another nation taken up The Spirit to build them by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by bondage and great terrors, with the mighty hand and outstretched arm of Jesus meeting them in America as they sailed in from the Black Atlantic? Your soul is a witness to this Godwork, and because He loved your fathers, therefore He chose their descendants after them. He brought you through, driving out from before mightier, greater nations so that he could give you your faith and The Spirit as it is today.

    Therefore, seek and dwell within the calling your ancestors anoint you.
