  • I'm moving to France in a few months, and it's bittersweet. I love Louisiana. I love our culture, I love our weather, and I love my friends that are here. That said, I do feel drawn to this move. I believe it is the direction my life is supposed to take right now. I am looking forward to starting a new chapter with my fiancĂ©, whom I will marry the week before we leave.

All the time, things hit me that will be different after I move to France. Little things that I don't think I would notice if I wasn't aware of their impending departure from my life. Little things like flowers in January that bloom and fall to the ground and are oh-so-beautiful. I really like these flowers.
