  • The image I had of Egypt was founded on what I learned from the media. My frame of reference of Egypt wasn't greater than Tahrir Square.

I am glad that I have witnessed the situation with my own eyes and had the opportunity to speak with the Egyptians. Contrary to what television is showing us, Egypt is much more than Tahrir Square.

Outside the square, life goes on. There, too, people are hoping, praying and working for a bright future for Egypt.

Even though there is much uncertainty; after my visit to Egypt, I am optimistic. Not because the situation is so rosy, but because I have faith in the Egyptians.
