  • Alexandra, you're growing so fast I can hardly believe it.

    The knowledge in your eyes.
    The expressions on your face.
The words you're starting to form.
The mischievous smile you give me when you're doing something you shouldn't.
The hugs you give me when you know I'm feeling down - or when you need comforting.
The joyful laughs when you find something funny, or do something silly.
The way you hug a friend when they're upset.
  • I love when you hold my hand. I could spend all day just holding your hand. When you hold my hand, it's because you are nervous, or tired, or upset, or we're crossing the street.

One day, a long time from now, I'll need to hold your hand because I'm feeling nervous, or tired, or upset (probably not because I have to cross the street, but you never know). I'll look back on this picture when that happens, and remember all the times you needed to hold mine.
