  • It sure was hot today but we did get a few clouds in the late afternoon. They were the kind of clouds perfect for gazing at with an open mind. I saw a scorpion right away. Then, looking around at all the other clouds, I realized how many forms were apparent and wished for a grassy hill with a small shade tree under which to lay back and dream with my eyes open.

    Instead, I drove on towards our monthly haircut appointment with my brother and my daughter, clouds not forgotten. Their image still in me so strong that, thinking in Haiku, I composed this.
