I know everyone from Al Sharpton to some idiot on Facebook would love to bemoan the tragedy of George Zimmerman's acquittal. But folks, there was a defense and a prosecution and there was a trial. By all accounts, a fair trial. And there is a verdict. Arrived at by 12 reasonable persons who heard arguments from both the defense and the prosecution.

The tragedy is that a young boy named Trayvon Martin is lost to us now. Was he the next Martin Luther King Jr? We'll never know, and that is the real tragedy.

Only George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin know what really happened that night, and unfortunately Trayvon is not here to share his side of the story.

But the fact of the matter is the trial is over. The verdict has been delivered.
