  • I am Viviana Sanchez and Ecuadorian born New York Raised undocumented immigrant. I am a woman, trying to blend into the “north American” culture. I am a South American Lady trying to hold on to my culture from back home. I enjoy ceviche Ecuatoriano from la Costa from my birthplace. But it is the Star Spangled Banner national anthem that I have hailed to ever since I was a child. Sometimes it’s confusing and sometimes I don’t know where I come from. I feel complete but then again I feel incomplete.
I am young 20 year old year woman striving for her own best in a country that separates her hard work due to a lack of a piece of paper with a nine digit number .I hope for the best and will keep on fighting until my last option is no more. At the same time I feel exhausted over a struggle that I had to confront even though I never had control over it.
I am a person in search of a full identity and her purpose in this life. I am Viviana Sanchez.
